Uralyt-U Granules 280 g is a pharmaceutical product used to manage urinary tract disorders, specifically to prevent and treat urinary stones and urinary tract infections (UTIs). It is also used to alkalinize urine, helping to prevent the formation of uric acid and calcium oxalate kidney stones. Composition: Active Ingredients: Potassium Citrate: 5.6 g per dose (as part of the formula). Sodium Citrate: 1.6 g per dose. Citric Acid: Helps to maintain the granules' pH and support the alkalinization of urine. These ingredients work together to increase the urinary pH (making the urine less acidic), which helps to dissolve certain types of urinary stones and prevent their formation. The alkalinization of urine can also help prevent the formation of uric acid and calcium oxalate stones. Indications: Uralyt-U is commonly used in the following conditions: Prevention of Urinary Stones: Helps prevent the formation of uric acid and calcium oxalate stones. Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): When UTIs are associated with acidic urine, Uralyt-U helps increase the pH of the urine, providing relief. Urinary Alkalinization: It can be used to alkalinize urine in conditions like gout, chronic kidney disease, or during certain cancer treatments (such as urate nephropathy). Management of Hyperuricemia: Uralyt-U can also help in managing high levels of uric acid in the blood by preventing uric acid crystals from forming in the kidneys and other parts of the body. Mechanism of Action: The active ingredients in Uralyt-U work by: Alkalinizing the Urine: Potassium citrate and sodium citrate increase the pH of the urine, which helps to dissolve and prevent the formation of uric acid and calcium-based stones. Increasing Urinary Output: Citrate compounds may also promote the excretion of certain ions, further reducing the likelihood of stone formation.

Directions to use :

Adults: Typically, the recommended dose is about 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 grams) dissolved in water, taken two to three times daily, depending on the severity of the condition and the instructions from your healthcare provider.
