Omeprazole tablets belong to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. They work by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces. Omeprazole tablets are used to treat the following conditions in adults:

GORD (Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease): This is when stomach acid escapes into the gullet (the tube connecting your throat to your stomach), causing heartburn, inflammation, and pain.

Duodenal ulcers: These are ulcers found in the upper part of the intestine (the duodenum).

Gastric ulcers: Also known as stomach ulcers, these are ulcers that may be infected with bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. If you have this condition, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with omeprazole to heal the ulcer and clear the infection.

NSAID-induced ulcers: Omeprazole can also be used to prevent ulcers caused by NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) like aspirin and ibuprofen.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: This is a condition where the pancreas produces too much acid due to a growth in the stomach.

Direction to Use:

The typical adult dose of Minisec-20 is 20-40 mg once daily
